Welcome to the Official Website of OMGBA

The Osseo Maple Grove Basketball Association (OMGBA) is a volunteer group formed in the 1970's to provide the best basketball opportunities for youth in Osseo and Maple Grove High School attendance areas. We are proud of our programs that serve 2000+ youth and are always trying to improve, but we can use your help. We offer programs for 1st grade through 12th grade, boys and girls, including traveling programs for 4th grade through 8th grade.

OMGBA is in need of volunteers!!!

We have several members moving on after this season (March) and need to fill positions as soon as possible.  If you are interested in volunteering some time, please send an email to admin@omgba.net.  Help is really needed in our Senior League Program.

Also, we continually need help with site supervisors at our tournaments.  Site supervisors update brackets, oversee volunteers, answer questions, and hand out trophies.  Shifts are typically 2 to 4 hours long.

Please consider getting involved.  OMGBA Board meets the 3rd Monday of each month at the Maple Grove Community Center at 7:00pm.

Committee Selects Traveling Coaches for 2010-2011 Season

08/13/2010, 11:29am (CDT)
By Jim Davison

Many interested and qualified coaching candidates.

The Traveling Basketball Coaches Selection Committee met with many qualified coaching candidates in May and selected coaches for most of the planned coaching positions for the upcoming traveling basketball season. “We continue to be fortunate to have many interested and qualified coaching candidates in our community. This again led to many tough coaching decisions,” said Jim Davison, Traveling Basketball Commissioner. “We still have openings at the 5th grade boys, 6th grade boys, 8th grade boys, and 6th grade girl’s levels.” Parents and other coaching candidates are encouraged to contact Jim Davison at travelingcommissioner@omgba.net if interested.

The 3rd Monday of every month (except July - no meeting) at the Maple Grove Community Center (except June - we meet offsite) at 7:00p.m. Open to the public. If you'd like to get on the agenda, email the president.
