September 26, 2011 7:00pm-9:00pm: Coach Orientation - Rush Creek Elem. School Gym. Coaches will call players with-in 24 hours of this meeting.

October 1, 2011: Season starts and runs through November 19, 2011 on Saturday afternoons at Rush Creek Elem. (No games on October 22, 2011 (MEA).

October 8, 2011: Pictures from 11:00am to 6:00pm in Rush Creek Elementary Cafeteria.

Week of October 10, 2011: Practices begin.  You will receive a phone call/email from your coach soon after the coaches meeting is complete with the exact date, time and location.

October 29, 2011: Games begin, and run through December 17, 2011 (no games October 22, 2011 (MEA) and November 26, 2011 (Thanksgiving)). There will be 1 or 2 games each Saturday.

October 29, 2011: Pictures between 8am & 6pm - Time Per Coach, at Basswood Elem.

December 14, 2011 to December 17, 2011: End of season tournament games.

March 10-11, 2012: End of Season Tournament.

OMGBA has a Traveling League for 4th through 8th Grade. Traveling teams tend to practice more, play more games (weekend tournaments), and play a higher level of competition. If your son or daughter is interested in traveling, register them for the proper House League and when the online registration asks about traveling, answer "yes". Your initial fee will cover the tryout.

Those selected for a travel team will pay an additional fee to cover the tournament entry costs. Once assigned to a travel team, you must play on that team or forfeit all initial fees paid.  For more information, see above for the various house leagues and below for the various traveling leagues and tryout dates. If your child does not make a traveling team, they will already be signed up for the House League.  OMGBA only has places for about 300 players in traveling but has about 1700 players in our House Program, which is an excellent program.

Boys and Girls Traveling Pictures will be taken Saturday of their home tournament at MGJH between 8am & 6pm in the cafeteria.  Time per coach.

4TH Grade Traveling League Tryouts:

4th Grade travel is a new program.  Additional information will be available soon.  ALL PLAYERS PLANNING TO TRYOUT OUT FOR THE 4TH GRADE TRAVEL TEAMS MUST PARTICIPATE IN THE FALL 4TH GRADE HOUSE LEAGUE.

5th - 8th Grade Girls Traveling League Tryouts:

5th grade girls  - Monday 9/19 and Wednesday 9/21, MGJH Gym DE from 6:30pm-9:30pm.

6th grade girls - Monday 9/19 and Wednesday 9/21, MGJH Gym AB from 6:30pm-9:30pm.

7th grade girls - Tuesday 9/20 at OJH and Thursday 9/22 at MGJH Gym AB, both from 6:30pm-9:30pm.

8th grade girls - Tuesday 9/20 and Thursday 9/22, MGJH Gym DE from 6:30pm-9:30pm.

5th - 8th Grade Boys Traveling League Tryouts:

5th grade boys  -  Tuesday 9/27 and Wed. 9/28, MGJH Gym DE from 6:30pm-9:30pm.

6th grade boys -  Monday 9/26 and Thursday 9/29, MGJH Gym DE from 6:30pm-9:30pm.

8th grade boys -  Saturday 9/24 MGJH Gym DE from 1:00pm-4:00pm and Monday 9/26 MGJH Gym  AB from 6:30pm-9:30pm.

We will also be having tryout clinics again this year.  At these clinics, the players will have an opportunity to practice all the tryout drills and do some scrimmaging prior the actual tryout.  YOU MUST BE REGISTERED TO PARTICIPATE IN THE CLINICS.

Tryout clinics will be held at Maple Grove Junior High.  Boys will be in Gym AB and Girls will be in Gym DE.  5th and 6th graders should come from 6:00 to 7:30.  7th and 8th graders should come from 7:30 to 9:00.  Clinic Dates are: Mondays, August 22 and 29, & Wed. Sept. 7, and Monday, Sept. 12.
