Osseo Maple Grove Basketball Association

Works with OMGBA Junior Traveling Coordinators and other NWSBL commissioners and coordinators (Brooklyn Area, Champlin Park, Anoka, Ramsey).  There are typically around 20 OMGBA teams between 7th & 8th grade boys and girls.

1. October - obtain copy of the registration list for each grade after the traveling teams have been selected (make certain that all traveling players have been identified).
   1. Use registration list to obtain any necessary coaches
   2. Prepare for and conduct tryout/draft held on the final Saturday of October - *pennies - try-out forms - equipment/uniforms - draft info).
2. November - practices begin first week of November
   1. Work with NWSL reps on game schedules.
   2. Prepare for coaches meeting (held the 1st week of November) *coaches shirts - tournament info - game/practice schedule, team photos
3. December - regular season games being the first Saturday in December
   1. Brooklyn Area Tournament held mid-December (remind OMGBA teams)
   2. Begin preparing for OMGBA girls tournament for mid-January (Dec. 21 entry deadline)
4. January
   1. Begin preparing for OMGBA Boys/Girls Tournament in mid-February
5. February - Organize Boys/Girls Tournament (mid-February)
   1. Begin preparing for End-of-Season tournament to be held the 2^nd weekend of March.
6. March - Organize End-of-Season Tournament (Boys or Girls)
   1. Collect equipment
   2. Distribute and collect evaluations

Monthly Tasks

1. Schedule practice times and distribute to all teams.
2. Respond to extra practice requests & update website.
3. Respond to coach questions/concerns
4. Report on program at the monthly board meetings
