OMGBA’s mission is to provide the best basketball experience, on and off the court, for all of our athletes & families. We understand that some families experience financial hardship and OMGBA is here to help in those times of true need. Upon approval, scholarships are available for athletes in grades 3-12.

Scholarships are NOT available for our 1st and 2nd grade program.

To be considered for a Scholarship for the 2011-2012 OMGBA season, here is the process:

Complete the online Scholarship Application Form. You will asked for a detailed explanation of your financial need. When the form is completed, hit submit.

Scholarship Application Deadline:

The deadline for a Scholarship Application is one week prior to the registration date close of your program (see program registration dates and scholarship application deadlines below).

THERE WILL BE NO SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATIONS ACCEPTED AFTER THE SPECIFIED SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION DEADLINE.

Scholarships Available:
With submission of the Scholarship Application form & approval by the OMGBA Executive board, a player may receive up to 100% of the house fees and 50% of travel fees.

Additional Scholarship available with Severe Financial Hardship:
To be considered for a Severe Financial Hardship Scholarship, you must complete the Scholarship Application form online and fax a copy of the player’s Free School Lunch Program approval letter to: 763-488-1632 before the Scholarship application deadline. If approved by the OMGBA Executive board, a player may receive the following:

• 100% of the house fees – for house players
• 50% of the house fees and 50% of the traveling fees – for traveling players

Note: OMGBA reserves the right to require scholarship families to volunteer at one of the OMGBA hosted tournaments.

100% Scholarships available with Corporate Charitable Giving Program:
If your company has a charitable giving program and you commit to the volunteer hours needed to earn a donation to OMGBA, a full scholarship for your player will be considered. To pursue this option, please reach out directly to scholarship@omgba.net.

Scholarship Approvals

• You will receive an approval or denial of your Scholarship request no later than 3 days before the registration date close of your program. Please do not e-mail or call with inquiries prior to that date.
• If granted a Scholarship, you will be given a unique coupon code to enter into the system when you register your player online at OMGBA.net. This code will apply your discount.
• Your player will need to be registered (with the SCHOLARSHIP COUPON applied and the remaining balance paid) before registration for your program closes.

Grades 3rd & 4th Registration closes Sept . 16, 2011
Scholarship Scholarship Application deadline: September 9, 2011

Grades 5th – 8th Traveling Registration closes Sept. 16,
Scholarship Application deadline: Sept. 9, 2010

Grades 7th & 8th House Registration closes Oct. 21,
Scholarship Application deadline: October 13, 2011

Grades 5th & 6th House Registration closes Nov.18,
Scholarship Application deadline: November 11, 2011

Grades 9th - 12th Registration closes Nov. 23, 2011
Scholarship Application deadline: November 17, 2011

OMGBA Scholarships are considered completely and awarded solely at the discretion of the OMGBA Executive Board.
