OMGBA’s mission is to provide the best basketball experience, on and off the court, for all of our athletes & families. We understand that sometimes families experience financial hardship, and OMGBA strives to help in those times of need. Upon submission of the application and required documentation, scholarships are available for athletes in 3rd through 12th grade.

Scholarships are NOT available for our Kindergarten, 1st and 2nd grade programs.

Scholarship Amount Available:
OMGBA offers a maximum scholarship of up to 50% off house program fees and 50% off travel program fees.  

To be considered for a 50% scholarship for the OMGBA season, please follow this process:
**Reminder: Do NOT register until you are approved & receive the scholarship code to use when registering. Refunds will not be given for scholarships.**

1) You complete the online Scholarship Application Survey prior to the scholarship request deadline for your program. Click Here For Form! 

2) You email a copy of your student's District 279 free and reduced lunch letter for the CURRENT year to scholarship@omgba.net. We cannot grant scholarships based upon last year's free/reduced letter; please send this year's letter.

3) Your submission will be reviewed by a member of the OMGBA Executive Committee.

4) If a scholarship is approved, you will be sent a unique discount code to enter into the system when you register your player online at OMGBA.net. This code will apply your discount during registration process.

Note:

• The scholarship player will need to be registered (with the scholarship discount code applied and the remaining balance paid) before registration for your program closes.
• IF YOU ARE PURSUING A SCHOLARSHIP, DO NOT REGISTER PRIOR TO RECEIVING YOUR DISCOUNT CODE.  YOU WILL NOT RECEIVE A REFUND.
• As a requirement for your receiving a scholarship, OMGBA reserves the right to require scholarship families to volunteer at one of the OMGBA hosted tournaments.

THERE WILL BE NO SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATIONS ACCEPTED AFTER THE SPECIFIED APPLICATION DEADLINE.   NO EXCEPTIONS.

Program Registration Close Dates and Scholarship Application Deadlines:

Grades 3rd & 4th House and Traveling

• Scholarships will be awarded until scholarship funds are depleted or the registration deadline, whichever occurs first.

Grades 5th – 8th Traveling

• See the Registration Page for specific dates that registration opens and closes for each program.
• Scholarships will be awarded until scholarship funds are depleted or the registration deadline, whichever occurs first.

Grades 5th-8th House

• See the Registration Page for specific dates that registration opens and closes for each program. 
• Scholarships will be awarded until scholarship funds are depleted or the registration deadline, whichever occurs first. Sometimes, the House program has open slots on teams after the draft and will take late registrations to fill teams; in that case, if you need a scholarship, email scholarship@omgba.net to inquire if scholarships are still available.

Grades 9th - 12th Senior High League

• If late registrations are accepted to fill teams, and you need a scholarship, email scholarship@omgba.net to inquire if scholarships are still available.

OMGBA Scholarships are reviewed and awarded solely at the discretion of the OMGBA Executive Committee.
