Important Season Dates

October 25, 2008: Tryouts:

  • 7th Grade Girls October 25, 2008 8:00am - 9:45am at MGJH.

  • 8th Grade Girls October 25, 2008 10:15am - 12:00pm at MGJH.

  • 8th Grade Boys October 25, 2008 12:30pm - 2:15pm at MGJH.

  • 7th Grade Boys October 25, 2008 2:45pm - 4:30pm at MGJH.

November 5, 2008: Coaches Orientation 7:00 - 8:00pm at Osseo Junior High.

November 10, 2008: Practices begin.

December 6, 2008: Games begin.

December 6, 2008: Pictures: Time per coach at Maple Grove Junior High.

December 12-14, 2008: Tentative dates for Brooklyn Park Holiday Tournament (optional).

January 17, 2009: Scholastic Achievement requests to be postmarked.

February 13-15, 2009: OMGBA Junior High House Invitational Tournament.

March 13-15, 2009: OMGBA End of Season Tournament.

March 17, 2009: OMGBA All Star Game

Score Reporting

Send scores to basketball-scores@cdaasports.org by Monday evening. Begin subject line with yoiur NWSBL team number. Send date of game, time and game location, both teams' official league name, score, and name and phone # of coach.

New Coach Info

If you are new to coaching or new to Jr High House League, here are some pointers:

  • Games are played in area junior or senior highs. Teams warmup on the court they play on (generally a few minutes warmup time).
  • We play in two mid-season tournaments: Brooklyn Park (12/12-12/14) and Maple Grove (2/13-2/15). Parents/guests will need to pay admission for each game (players are free) to pay for the gym time and officials. Also, OMGBA parents are asked to volunteer to staff the Maple Grove Tourney.
