OMGBA Board Meetings

The 3rd Monday of every month (except July - no meeting) at the Maple Grove Community Center (except June - we meet offsite) at 7:00p.m.

OMGBA Board of Directors Role

The OMGBA Board of Directors exists to provide leadership and administration for the basketball program, consistent with its purpose and goals. All board member hours are volunteer hours. The “board” conducts business each month of the year. Empowered by its by-laws, activities in which the OMGBA “board” engages include:

  • Player Support – gym acquisition, uniforms, rules/referees, player awards, scholastic achievement and player pictures
  • Player Development – coach acquisition, tryouts/drafts, progressive player 1st development guidelines (new this year), annual player/coach clinic, season coordination including end-of-season tournaments and community interfaces
  • Events – host two Traveling and one Junior High House tournaments, concessions
  • Administration – establish fees, project/conduct player registrations, collect revenue and pay bills, establish/maintain website, select traveling coaches, plan/organize/conduct and review OMGBA activities
The OMGBA Board meets each third Monday of the month at the Maple Grove Community Center, except June and July, beginning at 7pm. Guest observers are welcome. It is required that guests intending to make comment be placed on the meeting agenda. Contact the OMGBA President concerning such arrangements.
