5th and 6th grade players have the option of playing in the House League, or trying out for one of the Traveling League teams (see Traveling League pages for more information on this option). The 5^th and 6^th grade House League program is designed as the next step for both the new player to basketball and intermediate players by stressing basketball skills and fundamentals, while promoting a love for the game.  

The season runs from early December to mid-March, with team selection by an OMGBA league draft in December (see calendar). Games are played on Saturdays and practices are held during the week.  There will be two practices a week after team formation and before the first game and then one practice a week following the first game (depending on school availability).  Practices are 1 hour and 20 minutes long and can be held on any week day night from 6:00pm to 10:00pm.  There will be a tournament and awards will be presented at the conclusion of the season.
