OMGBA is looking for experienced referees. You can contact the referee coordinator via email: ref.coordinator@comcast.net.
A Meeting for the referees will be held on Thursday Oct 8th at 7:00pm at the Maple Grove Community Gyms in the Meeting room.
This program is grade based and open to Kindergarten - 2nd Grade. Kindergartners will be able to sign up 1st and any open spots will be available to 1st and 2nd graders.
FALL
September 27, 2020 6:00pm-7:30pm: Fall Coach Orientation - Rush Creek Elem. School Gym.
October 3, 2020: Fall session starts and runs through November 14, 2020 on Saturday mornings at Rush Creek Elem. (Will not meet on October 17, 2020 for MEA or October 31, 2020 for Halloween).
WINTER
January 4, 2021 6:00pm-7:30pm: Winter Coach Orientation - Rush Creek Elem. School Gym.
January 9, 2021: Winter session starts and runs through February 6, 2021 on Saturday mornings at Rush Creek Elem.
This program is grade based and open to 1st & 2nd graders only regardless of age.
FALL
September 27, 2020 7:30pm-9:00pm: Coach Orientation - Rush Creek Elem. School Gym. Coaches will call players with-in 24 hours of this meeting with schedule information.
October 3, 2020: Season starts and runs through November 21, 2020 on Saturday afternoons between 12:30 -6:30 (1 hour sessions) at Rush Creek Elem. (Will not meet on October 17 for MEA). On October 31, 2020 for Halloween, teams will play games between 8am and 2:30pm. Times will change each Saturday.
October 10, 2020: Pictures from 12:30 pm to 6:00 pm in Rush Creek Elementary Cafeteria.
WINTER
January 4, 2021 7:30pm-9:00pm: Coach Orientation - Rush Creek Elem. Coaches will call players with-in 24 hours of this meeting.
January 9, 2021: Season starts and runs through February 20, 2021 on Saturday afternoons at Rush Creek Elem.
January 16, 2021: Pictures from 11:00am to 6:00pm in Rush Creek Elementary Cafeteria.

October 7, 2020: Coach Orientation 6:30 pm at Rush Creek in the Gym. ***This is a change*** There will be a coaches clinic following the meeting.
Week of October 19, 2020: Practices begin. You will receive a phone call/email from your coach soon after the coaches meeting is complete with the exact date, time and location of your practices.
November 7, 2020: Games begin, and run through December 12, 2020 (no games November 28, 2020 (Thanksgiving)). There will be 1 or 2 games each Saturday.
November 14, 2020: Pictures between 8am - 6pm - Time Per Coach, at Basswood Elem.
December 17, 2020 - December 19, 2020: Fall tournament games.
OMGBA offers an extended traveling program for 4th graders and an extension to the house league program for all 3rd graders and for 4th graders that will not play traveling. 3rd graders will play with 4th graders using 4th grade rules in the extended program. This extended program is only offered to those players that participated in the fall program. The teams in the extended program will be formed using the OMGBA Draft Process not by school or friend requests.
December 28, 2020: Emails will be sent out with a link to all current fall participants to register to play in the extended house program. This link will close on January 1, 2021.
January 10, 2021: Coach Orientation 5:00pm - 6:00pm pm at MGCG in Behind MGMS. All coaches must attend this meeting.
January 10, 2021: Player Selection Draft - All players must attend (Any player that can not attend the draft will be placed on teams alphabetically)
Girls will play from 6:30pm-8:00pm - Coaches Draft teams at 8:00pm
Boys (Last names A-K) 6:00pm-7:15pm (Last names L-Z) 7:15pm-8:30pm - Coaches Draft teams at 8:30pm.
Week of January 11, 2021: Practices begin. Practice schedules will be on the individual team page calendars once completed.
January 23, 2021: Games begin, and run through March 13, 2021 There will be 1 game each Saturday.
March 16, 2021 - March 19, 2021: End of season tournament games.

October 28, 2020: All NWML 5th - 8th Grade Coaches Meeting at Maple Grove Middle School in the Cafeteria at 7:00pm
October 24, 2020: OMGBA Team selection draft - Community Gyms attached to Maple Grove Middle School. All registered players are expected to participate in the draft.
5th Grade Boys Draft - 8:30 am - 10:30 am
6th Grade Boys Draft - 1:30 pm to 3:30 pm
5th & 6th Grade Girls - 11:30 am - 1:30 pm
7th Grade Boys Draft - 12:30 pm - 2:30 pm
8th Grade Boys Draft - 10:30 am - 12:30 pm
7th & 8th Grade Girls - 9:30 am - 11:30 am
Coaches selections will immediate follow the player drafts. Players will be contacted with team information following the draft.
Week of November 2, 2020: UNIFORM DISTRIBUTION & Practices begin.
December 5, 2020: Games begin (no games December 19 or 26, 2020 for Winter Break). Pictures at MGMS Cafeteria from 8am-6pm - Time per coach
December 17-19, 2020: Brooklyn Park Holiday Tournament. (Excludes 5th Boys)
January 22-24, 2021: OMGBA Mid-Season House Invitational Tournament. Parents will be asked to volunteer.
February 26 - 28, 2021: End of Season Play-offs.
March 12, 2021: OMGBA (Only) All Star Game
Registered players are expected to participate in the draft. Coaches and their assistant coaches kids do not participate in the draft.
All Head Coaches must have completed the Trusted Coaches program prior to the draft in order to select their team.
Tryout times - Coaches selection drafts will immediately follow the tryouts and take about 1 hour.
The draft will be held at the Maple Grove Community Gyms (Behind MGMS)

December 9, 2020: Practices begin. (Practice time will be available over holiday break if desired)

January 23-24, 2021: Champlin 3 on 3 Tournament.
January 29-31, 2021: NML Jamboree (Weekend Tournament).
March 5-7, 2021: End of Season Tournament.
March 12, 2021: Senior League All-Star Games and Events (OMGBA Teams Only)
