This OMGBA program is designed to introduce basketball skills and promote a love for the game by adding several scrimmages to the schedule.  Due to popular demand, we offer both a Fall and Winter session.

Eligibility: Boys and Girls in grades 1 & 2 and are a resident of Maple Grove or Osseo OR attend a public or private school within the Osseo or Maple Grove High School attendance areas.

When: Occurring for 7 Saturdays, click the "Important Dates Button" at the top or here for more detailed information.

• Fall Session: Typically starting in late September or early October (no basketball on MEA weekend) through November

• Winter Session: Typically starting in January through February 

Session Details: Each player is assigned a team. Each team is assigned an hour practice/scrimmage on every Saturday during the session.  Time slots vary between 12:00 and 6:30 p.m. at one of the Maple Grove Elementary Schools (typically Rush Creek).  Times will vary from week to week in order to schedule scrimmages with multiple teams; please note when registering there is no way to guarantee a specific time for sessions.  There will be 3 practices and 4 scrimmages over the 7 week long session.  Participants in this program will use a 27.5 size ball and will shoot at 8 1/2 foot baskets.

We will be filling the Fall Session first, once all spots are taken for the Fall Session, a waiting list will begin. Once the registration page has closed, so has the waiting list. All players on the waiting list that do not play in the fall will be able to register for the Winter Session before it is opened up to everyone.

Please register under the correct gender, grade, and elementary school. Players will be placed on a team based on this information. Once teams are formed coaches will communicate the team schedule to parents/guardians of participants, typically the Monday before the first practice.
